Competitors!! Please read the following before completing and signing your entry forms. For any areas not explicitly covered by these guidelines, it should be assumed that NZARRA rules apply.
1. Although late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the CCU committee, the closing date for all entry forms and payments to be in the hands of your club delegates is 10 June 2007.
2. All members of a competing Couple or Triple must be members of one of the seven Wellington-based NZARRA-affiliated clubs. A couple is defined as one male and one female except for Same Sex categories. A triple is defined as one male and two females.
3. You may compete in only ONE of the following:
Junior Class: Social, Junior, Intermediate, Senior, Restricted
Senior Class: Social, Masters, Golden, Platinum, Senior Restricted, Open Restricted, Open
The above sections dance to a slow and a fast song in heats and finals.
You may also choose to dance in Junior or Senior Triples, Unders and Overs, Same Sex and Senior Pro-Am, if you are eligible for those categories.
Note: For 2007, Junior and Senior Same Sex categories will be combined.
4. Social means never having competed at Nationals (excluding Novelty). Pro-Am means that one competitor has never competed in an assessable grade at any level and has not previously competed in Pro-Am. Please discuss with your delegate if this is unclear.
5. Unders and Overs dance to one medium song in the heats and finals. One dancer must be a Junior and the other a Senior and there must be at least a five year age difference between the two dancers.
6. Pro-Am and Same Sex dance to one medium song in heats and finals.
7. Triples dance to 2 medium songs in heats and finals.
8. National Dress standard is compulsory for all categories and will be monitored before you compete. There are Best Dressed Trophies awarded for Junior, Senior and Triples.
9. Entry fee for 2007 is $10.00 Junior/$15.00 Senior and will only be accepted when on an Official entry form and accompanied by the entry fee. Only one entry fee is payable regardless of number of sections entered. Entry fee also includes your entry into the venue.
Entry fee will not be refunded if you withdraw from the competition. Entry is non-transferable - if you do not compete you cannot give your ticket to someone else.
Competitor entry tickets will be issued via your delegates prior to the day. Competitor numbers will be handed out on the day of the competition via your delegates.
